Description
Job responsibilities include Payroll and Compliance; Accounting Functions; Grant and Nonprofit Accounting; Journal Entry and Compliance Documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or payroll (nonprofit or government-funded experience a plus); Familiarity with Paychex Flex or similar payroll systems preferred; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Experience with nonprofit accounting software (e.g. Fund EZ, QuickBooks, MIP, Blackbaud) a plus; Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards (FASB, fund accounting); Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially; Self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid New Jersey driver's license; Ability to work occasional flexible hours as required by the department or audit schedule.
