The Role
The Senior Tax Accountant will play a key role in supporting tax compliance and client service across a sophisticated client base. This individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, communicating directly with clients, and proactively managing issues through to resolution. The firm is open to strong Staff Accountants with relevant experience who are ready to step into a more senior, hands-on role. Success in this position requires technical tax expertise, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, trusts, business entities, and high-net-worth individuals.
Communicate directly with clients to request documentation, answer questions, and follow up as needed.
Identify potential issues, take ownership of follow-up actions, and ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate closely with firm leadership and fellow team members on tax and client matters.
Support general office needs when required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Adhere to firm processes, organizational standards, and strict confidentiality requirements.

100% in-office role due to confidential client information. Scottsdale, AZ

Requirements
Requirements
5–8 years of professional tax experience preferred.
CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.
Strong experience with partnership and trust taxation.
Background supporting high-net-worth individual clients.
Proficiency with professional tax software (e.g. Lacerte or similar).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working directly with clients and handling follow-ups by phone or email.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage workload independently within set deadlines.
Nice to Have:Experience working in a small or boutique CPA firm environment.
Exposure to complex entity structures and advanced tax planning concepts.
