About West Bay Club:
Nestled in the heart of Estero Bay, near the Gulf, West Bay Club is a member-owned gated community and private golf club encompassing nearly 900 acres - 500 of which are dedicated to conservation. The community boasts 790 residences, including estate homes, high-rise condos, and villas, all set amidst lush tropical landscaping and bordering Estero Bay and Gulf. West Bay recently underwent a $40 million renovation of the club amenities and golf course.

Located in the picturesque surroundings of West Bay's community, the Bay House facility includes a resort-style pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, culinary academy, card and meeting rooms, and the Aqua Café offering both indoor and outdoor dining. West Bay's tennis facility offers center court viewing on all eight Har-Tru courts. Additionally, the Sports Park offers six pickleball courts, two bocce courts, and a dog park. The Golf Club is home to multiple dining venues that range from casual dining, including the Niblick Grille and Signature Bar, to fine dining at the Golf House. The club offers a maximum of 300 golf memberships, 150 social memberships, and currently has a wait list. While the club remains open year-round, the peak of member activity is from November through April.

About The Position:
The Accounting Specialist will work with the Director of Finance and Assistant Controller to manage daily accounting functions for our private golf club and community association. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and experience in financial processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and support a positive workplace culture.

Job Responsibilities:
Accounts receivable & Billing:

• Manage the Club and HOA accounts receivable and billing process.
• Prepare and process monthly member and homeowner statements.
• Post payments, charges, credits, and adjustments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection follow-up.
• Respond to member and homeowner questions regarding accounts and charges.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer/member account records.

General Accounting:

• Assist with credit card reconciliations.
• Assists with month end close and annual audit.
• Assist with accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed.
• Assist with payroll and HR functions.

Education/Experience:

• 2 plus years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a country club, hospitality, or member-based organization is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial and employee record-keeping.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, members, and external partners.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficiency in Jonas or other Private Country Club software.
